FAQ
Questions? We've Got Answers.

1. Who do you typically work with?

We work with individuals, families, business owners, and retirement plan sponsors at different stages of their financial lives. Our clients may include professionals building wealth, families planning for the future, individuals preparing for retirement, retirees managing income, and employers looking to establish, evaluate, or transition a workplace retirement plan.

2. How do I know if I need a financial advisor?

You may benefit from speaking with an advisor if your financial life is becoming more complex, you’re approaching an important transition, or you’re unsure whether your current strategy is aligned with your goals.

An advisor can help you organize your financial picture, understand your options, and develop a more coordinated approach.

3. What services do you provide?

Depending on your needs, our services may include financial planning, investment management, retirement planning, education funding strategies, insurance planning, estate planning considerations, and guidance for business owners.

We also work with employers and retirement plan sponsors to establish new 401(k) plans, evaluate and transition existing plans, and provide ongoing retirement plan guidance and support.

4. What should I expect during our first meeting?

Our first meeting is an opportunity to learn more about you, your financial situation, your goals, and any questions or concerns you may have.

We’ll also explain how we work, the services we may be able to provide, and the costs that may apply. There is no obligation to move forward.

5. How do you charge for your services?

How we are compensated depends on the services and solutions provided. Compensation may include asset-based advisory fees, financial planning fees, commissions, or other compensation, as applicable.

Before you make any decisions, we’ll explain the relevant fees, costs, and compensation arrangements so you understand what to expect.

6. What is your investment philosophy?

Our investment approach emphasizes research, diversification, discipline, and a long-term perspective. We develop investment strategies based on each client’s goals, time horizon, income needs, and comfort with risk.

All investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Diversification does not ensure a profit or protect against loss, and no investment strategy can guarantee a particular outcome.

7. How often will we meet or communicate?

The frequency of meetings depends on your preferences, needs, and financial situation. We typically schedule periodic reviews and are available between meetings when questions or changes arise.

Our goal is to help you stay informed and connected to your financial strategy.

8. Will I have a dedicated financial advisor?

You will generally have a primary financial advisor who leads your relationship and becomes familiar with your financial situation and goals.

You may also work with other members of our team when their experience or support can be helpful.

9. Can you help with retirement and tax-related planning?

Yes. Retirement planning may include evaluating savings strategies, investment allocation, retirement income needs, Social Security, healthcare costs, and withdrawal strategies.

We may also consider tax-related factors as part of the financial planning and investment process. We do not provide tax or legal advice unless specifically qualified and engaged to do so, and we can coordinate with your accountant, attorney, and other professionals when appropriate.

10. Can you help us start a new 401(k) plan or take over an existing one?

Yes. We work with businesses looking to establish a new 401(k) plan as well as employers evaluating or considering a change to an existing plan.

We can help you evaluate plan design and providers, understand your options, coordinate with recordkeepers and third-party administrators, support a plan transition when appropriate, and provide ongoing guidance for plan sponsors and participants.

11. What retirement plan services do you provide?

Depending on the engagement, our services may include plan establishment and design consultation, benchmarking, investment review and monitoring, fee and service analysis, provider evaluation, plan transition support, employee education, and coordination with recordkeepers and third-party administrators.

The specific services, responsibilities, and scope of our role will be outlined in the agreement between the plan sponsor and our firm.

12. How do we get started?
